App is Javascript closure. You don’t have to do that. You can directly set web3 Provider. You can look at index_completed.html in my source code or see my gist — https://gist.github.com/kennethhutw/4bc5233f687d78a0b7a61ee38866d061

Web3 can be used in all javascript framework. I have made angular JS , react application. It also have no problem in Vue.js.
